Pastor Kate Eames Muhlbaier

Pastor Kate joined the YUMC family in July 2019. She hails from New Albany, IN and is a graduate of Indiana University Southeast (BA in History) and Asbury Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity).  Pastor Kate gave her life to Jesus as the age of 15, and discerned her call to ministry while in college and volunteering in youth ministry. After two years as a youth ministry, she was appointed as a senior pastor, and has been serving in that capacity since 2012. Pastor Kate’s passion is making the Bible come alive for people, and helping church attenders move towards becoming mature disciples of Jesus.

Pastor Kate is married to RC Muhlbaier, who serves as the associate director of leadership development for laity, and the Indiana Conference of the United Methodist Church (longest job title ever). He was born and raised in South Jersey and is a dedicated Eagles and Phillies fan.  Together, RC and Kate are raising three energetic boys, and doing their best to keep the house vacuumed.

In her spare time, Pastor Kate enjoys baking, eating what she bakes, and working on a novel set in 12th century France.
